A multi-year project funded by the European Commission whose main objective is to design and develop an inclusive social innovation approach to reskill/upskill adults over 45 from rural areas, helping them adapt to the green and digital transition in their existing jobs or find new ones in the Habitat sector, while fostering social entrepreneurial skills and mindset that enable the adoption of new production and/or consumption processes aligned with circular and socially responsible business models.

LIASE

The main objective of the COST Action LIAISE is to generate relevant synergies (among academics, researchers, industry and public agents) and lay the foundations for greater and more solid knowledge development related to Industrial Symbiosis.

DRUMS

A project funded by the European Commission aimed at developing training content for the manufacturing sector in key technologies such as Deep Tech solutions, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence from a user-centred perspective, ensuring the proper integration of technology and worker training.

WENUS

A project funded by the European Commission aimed at improving Vocational Education and Training in sustainable timber construction by integrating circular economy principles and 3D printing technologies into the curriculum, addressing the industry’s changing needs in green and digital skills, and promoting innovation, sustainability and efficiency.

INSET

A project funded by the European Commission aimed at making the implementation of the circular business model of Industrial Symbiosis a reality, through a disruptive, digital and pragmatic capacity-building approach for companies and related stakeholders.

ALLVIEW

A multi-year project funded by the European Commission through the ERASMUS+ initiative, aimed at creating a European dual VET network of Centres of Excellence in the Furniture and Wood sector.

TRIO

A project funded by the European Commission’s ERASMUS+ call, aimed at developing training content for European citizens to bridge knowledge gaps in data, health and digital skills.

FURNICERT

A project funded by the European Commission’s ERASMUS+ call, aimed at teaching professional languages for the furniture sector through an e-learning tool and developing new foreign-language (English) skills within the furniture sector.

YEFECE

A project funded by the European Commission aimed at providing educators and young people with knowledge and skills in the circular economy to transform waste or old furniture into recycled furniture.

CIRCLER

A project funded by the European Commission aimed at developing a new joint curriculum (EQF 4, 5, 6) for the future Circular Economy Transition Manager, in order to update vocational training and higher education in green, digital and transversal skills.

HU-VOLUTION

A project funded by the European Commission through the ERASMUS+ initiative, aimed at preparing designers in the habitat sector with the skills needed to lead a successful transition, driven by the New European Bauhaus and Society 5.0, toward more sustainable, aesthetic and inclusive living spaces.

SWING CAMPUS

A project funded by the European Commission aimed at improving inclusion in higher education by teaching sign language to future teachers. By integrating sign language teaching into teacher training, the project seeks to break down communication barriers for students with hearing impairments.

ACTIVATOR

The objective of the ACTIVATOR project is to improve the participation of older citizens (60+) in citizen science initiatives to increase their knowledge related to the Green Deal.

ECO-BOOST

The project aims to further expand and develop educators’ training skills, as well as improve and support high-quality learning opportunities tailored to the needs of low-skilled unemployed young adults.

ALL HANDS ON DECK 360º

A project funded by the European Commission through the ERASMUS+ initiative, which will develop a documentation repository for shipwrights, a training course primarily aimed at giving long-term unemployed furniture-sector workers a new career path, and a mentor training course.

The project’s objective is to create a joint European methodology for green skills micro-credentials, developed in collaboration with social partners. The joint EU MASTERY methodology results in a policy recommendation validated at local, regional, national and European level.

A project funded by the European Commission through the ERASMUS+ initiative, aimed at developing a training course to adapt collaborative robotics units for automating waste management in manufacturing sectors and fostering circular business models.

STEAMING AHEAD

SIBILA

HOME SWEET HOME

XR4CRAFTS

A project funded by the European Commission through the ERASMUS+ initiative, aimed at developing training material using extended reality (XR) together with haptic gloves to simulate manufacturing and construction processes such as carpentry, wall painting, roof building and floating floor installation.

INFO IPR: TEXCYCLE

The project’s main objective is to obtain sustainable solutions for managing textile waste generated in industrial furniture production, incorporating it through disruptive processes such as FFF/FDM additive manufacturing.

INFO ELE: FURPASS

FurPass proposes a digital product passport to facilitate the sustainable management of furniture from design through to end of life, using unique digital identifiers, QR, NFC or RFID and data traceability technologies.

INFO TEC: IA-DRON

Creation of an advanced monitoring system for the early detection of fires and risk situations in industry, using drones, thermal cameras and AI-based computer vision algorithms.

RECIPOL – CERVERA

The RECIPOL project seeks to establish a network of Technology Centres of Excellence in Circular Economy, focused on the recycling and valorisation of polyurethane waste, a material that is difficult to recycle.

INFO MAT: BICROMA

The BIOCROMA project focuses on the valorisation of plant waste from the food sector to obtain biomaterials such as natural pigments, aimed at new food formulations and sustainable materials for the furniture sector.

RUSH – AEI 2023

R&D of an intelligent system for unattended supply through autonomous robotics in the habitat sector.

PHARA-ON

The general objective of the Pharaon project (a European H2020 project) is to support the ageing population in Europe by integrating digital services, devices and tools into open platforms that contribute to dignified, independent and safe ageing.

UWB ONIDENTITY

A project focused on the research and development of advanced UWB communication techniques, signal processing and Machine Learning algorithms for next-generation radar sensors and localisation systems.

ACCESS

Funded by the European Commission, the AccesS project promotes accessible and inclusive design through advanced life-cycle analysis, simulations and compliance with accessibility guidelines.

UWB AED

Research and development of advanced UWB communication techniques, signal pre-processing algorithms and Machine Learning to improve radar sensors and localisation systems based on new electronic components.

SERENA RETOS

The Serena project seeks to create an intelligent system to assess and improve sleep, based on a True Wireless mattress with no external cables, sensors, IoT connectivity and cloud processing using Machine Learning techniques.

UWB INGENIUM

A research project in UWB communication, advanced signal processing and Machine Learning for the development of radar sensors and localisation systems based on next-generation components.

ENZICLO3

The main objective of the EnziclO3 project is to enzymatically degrade and/or recycle flexible polyurethane foams through new biodegradable formulations and ozonation treatments.

DEGEO

Development of glasses with variable, adaptive optical lenses, controlled through an optimised interface.

FUNCYCLING

Development of sports apparel for cycling with a clear added value, providing extra protection against possible irritation or discomfort under demanding conditions.

ARTEEKO

The ARTEEKO project aims to develop an advanced robotic manipulator (EOAT) for handling deformable fabrics in the upholstered furniture sector, including an independent head, computer vision and a universal integration system.

GDM

Research and development of a predictive model powered by artificial intelligence to simulate the mechanical behaviour of furniture through the creation of digital twins.

BIORCAN

An R&D project involving the development of formulated products for personal and sports wellbeing that incorporate cannabinoid active ingredients to achieve therapeutic effects related to skin and muscle tissue.

CARD-IA

An R&D project involving the development of an innovative heart failure prediction system with intelligent data interpretation.

PURELY

The general objective of the PURELY project is to obtain a sustainable, efficient and versatile technological solution for recycling flexible polyurethane foam so it can be reincorporated into the synthesis of new flexible foams.

RESPIRA

An R&D project involving the development of a non-invasive mechanical ventilation system with AI-based predictive estimation of the patient’s clinical progress.

HERA

A European project aimed at developing, testing and providing a systematic methodology to increase the participation of women over 45 in lifelong learning and support their labour market integration in sectors facing skills shortages.
